Terms of Service
Last updated April 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of FinalApproval. By creating an account or sending a request to our API, you agree to them. If you are using FinalApproval on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
The service
FinalApproval accepts approval requests from your software, renders them for a human reviewer, and delivers the decision back to a webhook you configure. You are responsible for deciding what actions your software takes in response to a decision.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential. Activity under your account is attributed to you.
- You may invite additional approvers as allowed by your plan. Each human reviewer must have their own account — no shared logins.
- We may suspend accounts that are clearly being used to attack the service, other customers, or third parties.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to approve actions that are illegal where they will be executed.
- Submit approval bodies containing malware, unlawful content, or content designed to deceive the reviewer.
- Attempt to extract credentials from other customers, abuse rate limits, or probe for vulnerabilities without authorization (see the Privacy Policy for how to report security issues responsibly).
- Resell the service to third parties without a written agreement.
Content you submit
You retain ownership of the approval bodies and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display that content to the reviewers you authorize, and to keep operational copies for the retention window on your plan.
Billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cadence as selected at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. Continuing to use the service after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new price.
- If payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days, we may downgrade your account to the free tier or suspend it.
Uptime and availability
We run FinalApproval as a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability on the free tier. Paid plans may include uptime commitments as described on the pricing page or in a separate order form. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You use the service at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You can cancel at any time from the Account settings page. We can terminate the agreement if you materially breach these terms and the breach is not cured within 14 days of notice. On termination, you retain the right to export your data for 30 days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which FinalApproval is incorporated, without regard to conflicts-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless another forum is required by consumer-protection law where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance of the revised terms.
